Welcome to the Mount Shasta Amateur Radio Club

The Mount Shasta Amateur Radio Club (MSARC) is a noncommercial association of radio amateurs, dedicated to the preservation, improvement, and advancement of Amateur Radio through the efforts and association of its members.

The Purpose and the Mission of the Mount Shasta Amateur Radio Club is:

The Mount Shasta Amateur Radio Club is an unincorporated association chartered under the laws of the State of California.  Its affairs are governed by a slate of officers, who are elected every year, by the general membership.

Founded in 1947, the Mount Shasta Amateur Radio Club has a proud history of achievement as the standard-bearer of amateur radio affairs in southern Siskiyou County, California.

The club call sign is W6BML.

A bonafide interest in Amateur Radio is the only essential qualification of membership.

Mount Shasta (the mountain and the city) is located in Siskiyou County in far northern California, about 100 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean, about 300 miles north of San Francisco, and about 60 miles south of the Oregon border on Interstate 5.



WEEKLY NET: The Mount Shasta Amateur Radio Club conducts a weekly net on Wednesday evenings on our Grey Butte repeater. Early check-ins start at 6:45 PM Pacific Time and the Net starts at 7:00 PM. The repeater operates on a frequency of 440.275 MHz with a + offset and a tone of 118.8.

MONTHLY MEETINGS: The members of the club gather for

Shack Day social and radio operating time, at the clubhouse on the second Saturday of each month at 10 AM.
For our Business and Planning meetings, they are the third Wednesday of each month at 6PM .
The meetings are held at the clubhouse, located at:
329 N Washington Dr in Mount Shasta CA.
Unless there is an event or otherwise planned activity. There is a Zoom component for those who cannot attend. Email ca.poppy@gmail.com for details and instructions.



AFFILIATIONS: The Mt. Shasta Amateur Radio Club is affiliated with the American Radio Relay League and takes part in activities hosted by the Sacramento Valley Section of the Pacific Division.

The MSARC Volunteer Examiner Team is affiliated with Laurel VEC, which allows the club to test licensing candidates free of charge. If interested in testing, please check our Events page for testing dates and to register.
